The Journey is a trip to the Holy Land where Church leaders involved with the American Renewal Project spend time with civic leaders in the spiritual center of Christendom.
Imagine walking through the garden of Gethsemane or spending an evening meal overlooking the Sea of Galilee. How about a trip to the Dead Sea or the Jordan River? These are but a few of the sites that we experience when we go to the Holy Land.
Now imagine seeing these sites with other believers and civic leaders. Not only will you better understand the spiritual impact, you also form a bond with new friends as you share this time together.
Engaging the culture with the Gospel of Jesus is a basic premise of Christianity. From the least to the greatest we are all sinners in need of redemption. Too many times, pastors and Church leaders shy away from engaging with elected officials and Civic leaders. But ignoring that segment of society does not fulfill the command of Matthew 28:19. Spending time in a spiritual setting does strengthens our society and forms lasting opportunities for ongoing ministry.
